Unveiled last year at the renowned Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the Acura ZDX is about to hit the dealership floors. This week, the Japanese manufacturer took the opportunity to reveal the official price range of its first all-electric vehicle.
As you probably know, the Acura ZDX is based on General Motors' Ultium platform.
A-Spec and Type S
The Acura ZDX 2024 will be offered in two configurations for the 2024 model year. The A-Spec model will serve as the base version with a starting price of $84,990, to which must be added transportation and preparation fees totaling $2,595.
The A-Spec version is powered by two electric motors for a total output of 490 horsepower and 437 pound-feet of torque. The range of this version is expected to be around 489 kilometers on a full charge.
On the other hand, the Type S version also features two electric motors. The total power output will exceed 500 horsepower and 544 pound-feet of torque. However, this slight increase has an impact on the range, which has been slightly reduced to 447 kilometers on a full charge. The price of the Type S version is quite attractive, starting at $91,490. You get a set of Brembo brakes, 22-inch wheels, and a much sportier look than the base version, which is well worth the extra $6,000 required to purchase the Type S version.
Fast Charging
The architecture of the Acura ZDX 2024 allows for a charging power of 190 kW. According to the brand's estimates, it only takes 10 minutes to regain a range of 100 kilometers, which is excellent.
The Acura ZDX 2024 boasts an impressive array of technology, all as standard. The Japanese manufacturer's SUV features an 11-inch digital dashboard and an 11.3-inch infotainment system screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and to top it off, the ZDX comes with a premium B&O audio system. The Japanese SUV lacks nothing, especially in terms of safety, thanks to the Acurawatch suite of technologies, which includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
