Acura has recently embraced nostalgic vibes, and following this trend, the Japanese automaker is bringing back the RSX nameplate. However, this time, it’s not a small, two-door sports car but an SUV.
Earlier this week, Acura announced the arrival of a new model for 2026. This model is essentially the production version of the EV Performance Concept. What makes it even more intriguing is Acura’s decision to name it the RSX.
Already on the Roads
While the model is not yet available for order, the Acura RSX can already be spotted, as some test vehicles are on the road in camouflage. Despite this, its sleek silhouette and sporty appearance can still be admired. Let me tell you, this electric SUV from the Japanese automaker is the kind of vehicle that will turn heads wherever it goes.
Acura didn’t choose the RSX name by chance; the electric SUV features a design that subtly draws inspiration from the iconic sports coupe we all know. Additionally, the brand has emphasized that its new SUV will offer a “fun and performance-driven” driving experience.
This makes it Acura’s second electric SUV alongside the ZDX and its fifth SUV overall, counting the gasoline-powered ADX, RDX, and MDX models. With the arrival of the RSX, the Japanese automaker’s lineup will be more complete than ever. The vehicle will be produced at Honda’s EV Hub in Ohio.
The price range for the model and technical specifications remain unknown for now. In both cases, we expect something highly competitive. Needless to say, we’re eager to learn more about this model.
