High Performance
The focus on sport performance is firmly evident under the hood. All models use a 10-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive as the standard. However, Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) is an available option on most models, continuously varying the power to all four wheels for maximum traction and handling.
The base-level engine is a 2.0L turbo-four making 272 horsepower and 280lb-ft of torque, powering the TLX from 0-100kmh in just seven seconds. Impressive as this is, the Type S trim takes things to the next level, with a 3.0L V6 pushing out an estimated 350hp and reducing the 0-100kmh time to an extremely lively 4.5 seconds.
Advanced Infotainment
Every model in the TLX lineup contains a luxurious 10.2" infotainment display, featuring a Wi-Fi hotspot facility, automatic over-the-air software updates, and standards including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This large display is backed up by a 7" digital instrument gauge cluster, with higher-end models also boasting a 10.5" head-up display.
